Expedition & Research Expansion

Sea Corps establishes a dominant presence in the expedition and research vessel sector — providing command, operational oversight, and technical management for scientific and deep-ocean programs across remote and high-latitude environments. Private sector collaborations include production support for Discovery Channel, IMAX, National Geographic, and Blue Planet, operating at the intersection of science, media, and maritime excellence.

2013

U.S. Shipyard Engineering & Rebuild Program

A major push into U.S. commercial shipyards — delivering extensive engineering surveys, full rebuilds, repowering projects, and sophisticated technical work across a range of commercial vessel types. Establishing Sea Corps as a trusted shipyard management and oversight partner.

2016

Yacht Sales & Management

Sea Corps expands into the yacht sales and management sector — providing full-service vessel management, charter oversight, sales representation, and owner advisory for large luxury yachts and expedition vessels worldwide. Listing and representing owners in over $90 million in vessel closure sales.

2020

U.S. Government Maritime Operations

Multiple Turbo Activations and Maintenance Sea Trials for MARAD's Ready Reserve Fleet across various DOT and U.S. Military operations. Recognised by the U.S. Maritime Administration for exceptional professionalism and command performance, and commended by U.S. Transportation Command for leadership, crew integration, and interagency partnership.

Captain Alec Cunningham

Managing Director

Captain Cunningham is the founder and Managing Director of Sea Corps Maritime Group. With a career spanning commercial shipping, superyachts, offshore operations, government sealift, and international maritime consulting, he brings command-level authority and operational depth to every engagement.

A USCG licensed Master Mariner (Unlimited Tonnage, Oceans), he has served as Master aboard vessels ranging from 300,000 DWT crude oil tankers to 80+ metre luxury yachts and expedition vessels — in jurisdictions spanning the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Pacific, Arctic, and Indian Ocean.

All other Sea Corps principals and partners remain confidential until assigned directly to a client or deployed to a project — in keeping with the Group's commitment to discretion and operational security.
